Goldsmith and mechanical manufacturing cooperate effectively, leading to technological innovation and competitiveness on international markets.
This cooperation is key to Arezzo’s strategic role as driving force behind Made-in-Italy jewellery.
The companies in the Tuscan goldsmith district ensure approximately 46% of total Italian gold exports, which went beyond €15 billion in 2024.
There are over 1,100 goldsmith businesses operating in the province of Arezzo, employing around 8,400 people. That accounts for 16% of all Italian goldsmith businesses and 26% of national employment in the goldsmith sector.
